Bahari Pori Bandas is located on the Indian Ocean coast of Tanzania and has access to a sandy beach with a mangrove forest. Bahari Pori is built with the vision to have an ecological sound resort with respect for nature.
It will be of special interest for those who like a quiet place, nature, bird watching or just good food. The resort has a good sized pool in which you can relax and absorb Tanzania’s sunshine.
The resort has seven luxury tents, which are self contained and very comfortable. It also has a cottage for small groups and there is a camping ground for tents or overland trucks.
The Italian owners have invested much energy and resources in the restaurant and it has a good menu which includes a variety of dishes. Most of the ingredients are fresh and the pizzas are baked in a wood burning oven.
We can arrange a number of trips in the area including a boat trip to the nearby Maziwa Island, which is situated in a marine park.
The resort lies 10 km north of the sleepy coastal town of Pangani, which has a rich cultural history and worth a visit. Here you can visit old colonial buildings and see the craft of making dhows (wooden sailing boats). The town lies at the mouth of the river Pangani and the mangrove estuary is worth a visit with beautiful sceneries and interesting communities along the shore banks.
